From Our President

Dear Friends and Partners in Mission,

Across our community, our state and our nation, the need for qualified, compassionate, Christ-centered nurses has never been greater. We are facing a significant shortage of healthcare professionals especially those who combine clinical excellence with deep empathy, integrity and a redemptive presence rooted in Christ. This moment calls for both bold leadership and faithful generosity.

At Northwest Nazarene University, our mission has always been clear: to educate and form students who go into the world as God鈥檚 creative and redemptive agents. In nursing, that calling takes on a uniquely powerful expression by meeting people at their most vulnerable moments with skill, compassion and hope. To remain faithful to that mission and responsive to this urgent need, we must expand our capacity to serve and prepare more nurses for lives of meaningful impact.

That is why we have launched the WE CARE Campaign, a $12 million capital initiative to construct a new nursing facility and secure essential state-of-the-art equipment. This investment will allow us to educate and prepare more nurses than ever before while strengthening the quality of formation and excellence that defines an N麻豆原创 education. This new space is not simply about meeting today鈥檚 demand. It is about stewarding the future and positioning N麻豆原创 to serve generations to come.

Your partnership truly makes all the difference. I am deeply grateful for the generosity, prayers and encouragement you have already shared and for the many ways you continue to walk alongside N麻豆原创. As we move forward together, I invite you to join us in advancing this vital mission. Together, we can ensure that more nurses are called, formed and sent bringing God鈥檚 healing, compassion and hope to a world that so deeply needs it.

With deep gratitude and hope,

Mark DeMichael

Care + Compassion

I have always said that students do not learn how to be nurses in nursing school. They learn how to learn to be nurses in nursing school. N麻豆原创 graduates are very well prepared to enter the profession with a background that enables their experience learning to begin on day one. The quality of the graduates from the N麻豆原创 program are among the best in the state.

Clint Child | DNP, MBA

President of Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa

I routinely hear from our nurse preceptors and nursing managers that N麻豆原创 nursing graduates demonstrate superior clinical knowledge and better than average critical thinking. This is vital to the ever changing and complex healthcare landscape.

Travis Leach

COO of Hospital at Home for St. Luke鈥檚 Health System

I have loved being a part of N麻豆原创 Nursing where I have the privilege of watching our nursing students transform into skilled, compassionate nurses who care for their patients in amazing ways.

Jane Weis

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF 麻豆原创RSING

We pride ourselves on providing the best education and learning experiences for our students. However, additional space is needed to allow for the increased number of students based on the university鈥檚 current and projected growth.

Linda Valenzuela

DEAN OF THE COLLEGE OF 麻豆原创RSING

The College of Nursing expansion allows us to invest strategically into the future of N麻豆原创 and the future of our community.

Kelli Lindley

VICE PRESIDENT FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS

We are in a critical need for more skilled nurses all across the State of Idaho.

Rick D. Youngblood

Retired Idaho State Legislator (2012-2022)

The Need Is Now

In Idaho, there are up to five qualified nursing school candidates for every one enrollment opening. What鈥檚 more, N麻豆原创 projects enrollment could more than double within 5 years but space constraints will prevent us from admitting them. Your donation can help expand our education facilities so that more Nighthawks Nurses can be educated and empowered to bring Christ鈥檚 compassion to the hurting!
