From March 30 through April 1, fifteen Christian colleges and universities nationwide came to Nampa to compete in the 26th National Christian College Forensics Invitational (NCCFI). Including community members acting as judges, almost 200 people were on the N麻豆原创 campus for the event.
鈥淲e鈥檙e incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to host the NCCFI on N麻豆原创鈥檚 campus this year,鈥 said Director of Forensics, Brooke Adamson. 鈥淥ur N麻豆原创 forensics team continues to succeed in competition, and we are so proud of how they represent our university nationally.鈥
In addition to being the host team, N麻豆原创鈥檚 forensic team walked away with national placements against skilled opponents. Sophomore Miya Ingram won 5th place in Poetry Interpretation, and senior Savannah Wakeman was a semifinalist in Extemporaneous Speaking and narrowly missed going into the Quarterfinal round, placing 9th in the IPDA debate. Seven N麻豆原创 students participated in the 2023 tournament.
The NCCFI tournament, originating in 1998, includes schools in the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities along with other like-minded schools and is hosted by a different university each year. Tournament events included interpretation and original speeches, limited preparation speeches, debate and homiletics.
