N麻豆原创 AND BSU ANNOUNCE NEW ARTICULATION AGREEMENT FOR ACCELERATED MASTER’S PROGRAM IN ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE

N麻豆原创 and BSU sign articulation agreementThis past week, Northwest Nazarene University signed an articulation agreement with Boise State University, allowing students to earn their undergraduate degree in either Engineering or Computer Science at N麻豆原创 and an accelerated Master of Science or Master of Engineering degree from Boise State University.

鈥淭his is a win-win,鈥 said Dr. Bradley Kurtz-Shaw, N麻豆原创鈥檚 Vice President for Academic Affairs. 鈥淪tudents will have an amazing opportunity to finish with their bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degree at an accelerated rate because of this partnership. We鈥檙e looking forward to bringing this to fruition.鈥

Undergraduate students at N麻豆原创 earning their Engineering or Computer Science degrees can, prior to their final year at N麻豆原创, gain admittance to either the BSU Accelerated Master of Engineering or Accelerated Master of Computer Science programs. During their final year at N麻豆原创, they will be full-time resident students at N麻豆原创 and complete all their course requirements for their BS degree. In addition, they will also take up to two 5000-level N麻豆原创 courses that are pre-approved to count toward both their N麻豆原创 BS degree and their BSU MS degree.

鈥淥n behalf of Boise State, we鈥檙e really excited about this partnership,鈥 said Dr. JoAnn Lighty, Dean of the College of Engineering at BSU. 鈥淭he College of Engineering at Boise State鈥攚hich includes computer science as part of our college鈥攊s promoting that Boise STEM builds Idaho. This is a great opportunity for us to continue our collaboration in many fields, especially in our graduate programs, and we鈥檙e excited about that.鈥

Upon a student鈥檚 successful completion of this model, the student will have earned a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree from Northwest Nazarene University and a Master of Science or Master of Engineering degree from Boise State University.

N麻豆原创 Engineering and Computer Science students can begin the BSU graduate application process as early as April 30, 2025.

The N麻豆原创 Bachelor鈥檚 to BSU Engineering and Computer Science Accelerated Master鈥檚 Articulation Agreement was signed by N麻豆原创 Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Dr. Jamee Nixon, N麻豆原创 Vice President of Academic Affairs, Bradley Kurtz-Shaw, BSU Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. JoAnn Lighty, BSU Dean of Graduate College, Dr. Scott Lowe and BSU Provost, Dr. John Buckwalter.
